The STS Group organised a two-day blood donation campaign in April 2021, in collaboration with the Dubai Blood Donation Center by Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
Over 3,000 of our staff participated by completing a questionnaire on the DHA App followed by a medical assessment to ensure they were eligible to donate blood. A team of doctors and nurses counselled the staff on dietary tips to raise their haemoglobin levels. “This is a great opportunity for us to do something meaningful. I am so happy to be able to donate blood today,” said Binu Subramanian, foreman at STS Group. Given the pandemic, I was a little hesitant at first to undergo a medical procedure. However, seeing the arrangements made by the QHSE team at STS Group and DHA, has put my mind at ease. Everything was organised well and carried out smoothly and swiftly,” he added
